The Green Spaces internship program is designed to provide college students and recent graduates an opportunity to work for, and network with, a community of green leaders, sustainable businesses, and socially-conscious non-profits.
The Green Spaces intern team rotates between project work of interest for our company and our member clients which broadens their understanding of the professional world of sustainability and social responsibility, while increasing their chances of being hired by a growing green business.
Requirements: Three month / 10 hour per week minimum time commitment. Student credit or experience only (possible stipends may be available). Must be passionate about sustainability!

Té Baybute Designer, Green Spaces

Té Baybute is a New York based Graphic Designer and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Advertising Design. After being exposed to so many wonderful creations, he decided that the communication is the true art and elected to pursue his degree in Advertising Design. Té arrived in New York at the beginning of the year and is pursuing a career creating advertising for socially responsible institutions and causes. Currently he is working part time for the Green Map System with Wendy Brawer.

Charlie Nichols Information Technology
Charlie is an Enginerring student at Stevens University and is in his junior year. While helping Green Spaces and it's clients through their computer woes, He is also developing a Solar Powered Generator for the Green Roof on our building. An entrepreneur of sorts, Charlie has started his own sustainabilty focused business such as EcoMail and a computer refurbishing service. Charlie is going to Africa for his second time this summer but would be happy to listen to your opportunities.

Gordon Sims
Gordon Sims is a 2009 graduate of Loyola University Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business with minors in Economics and Asian Studies. His studies took him to London for a semester and a full year in Beijing studying Mandarin and Chinese Economics. Gordon got his start at Green Spaces as the Operations Manager for Denim Therapy. He is now also the Deputy Director of Green Spaces.

Chi-Hang Huang Designer

Chi-Hang is a graduate of Purchase College, SUNY with a degree in Graphic Design. While in the college, he always wondered where did all the paper go when designers put it into the recycle bin. He believes designers have social responsibilities to the environment and an obligation to educate people about sustainability. He recently created an identity project for GreenWorks CDC, a non-profit organization to promote sustainable living in low-income communities.

Stacy Wong is a graphic designer, born and raised in New York City. She graduated from New York University in 2006 with a BFA in Urban Design and Architecture Studies, minors in Japanese and Law & Society and a certificate in Graphic Design. After realizing in college that she wanted to be a graphic designer, she has spent the past 3 years in further study at Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts. She is currently a design intern at Green Spaces and is enjoying every minute of doing something that she loves.

Nicole Crescimanno
Nicole is a rising senior at Stonehill College in Easton, MA. She is pursuing a double major in Environmental Studies and Studio Arts. In the summer of 2008, she interned at Solar 1 in Manhattan and worked with environmental educator Chris Kennedy reaseraching environmental pedagogy and helping to teach summer camps. This past spring she researched food, sustainability, and economic issues for author and activitist, Frances Moore Lappe, at the Small Planet Institute in Cambridge, MA. Currently she is interning at Greenspaces, helping with the Women's Education Project. She hopes to pursue a masters degree in environmental studies and sustainability.
