Green Spaces was founded by Jennie Nevin and Marissa Feinberg, creators of one of the first green educational networking groups in New York City, the Green Business Leaders.  Green Business Leaders brings together a diverse group of leaders in New York that are committed to the sustainable movement.  Guests and partners have included Whole Foods, Environment Furniture, The Rainforest Alliance, The Gaia Institute, and Green Map Systems, among others.

Jennie Nevin, Founder, After receiving her MBA, along with taking graduate Environmental Studies coursework, she worked at Merrill Lynch Private Banking Group in NYC to manage portfolios for institutions and families with at least $10 million in assets at the firm. Since then she has worked with new economy companies to increase their ability to grow through financing and strategic partnerships.  Jennie is also the founder of Green Leaders, one of the first educational networking groups in New York City.

Brad Holmes, Partner and Director of New Economy Business Competition, Brad has over 10 years of media experience and has pioneered countless hours of environmental television programing including Sundance Channel's Big Ideas for a Small Planet. He recently joined the Green Space team to head up the New Economy Competition.

Marissa Feinberg, Partner, does Partnership Development for DESIGN 21, a joint venture of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, and Felissimo. Feinberg promotes better design for the greater good and has created a network of more than 12,000 member individuals and over 250 organizations. Previously, Feinberg studied Marketing at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and worked in journalism.

Al Altarra, Owner of the Metropolitan Exchange, the space that provides the launching pad for Green Spaces. The 45,000 square-foot space is filled with socially responsible companies like Good News Broadcast, a media publication that features good news from domestic and international sources, and Earth Speaks, an organic fashion company. Altarra has provided the beautiful fifth floor loft space filled with antique, recycled furniture to help launch Green Spaces.
