Jennie Nevin Founder

Jennie Nevin is the Founder of Green Spaces, a collaborative work space to launch green entrepreneurs.

Before its move to Tribeca, Green Spaces incubated almost 35 organizations. She is also a co-founder of the Green Spaces Innovation Institute, a non-profit institute fostering green jobs and education for start-ups. Previously Jennie had started her career at Merrill Lynch in their Private Banking and Investment Group.

Jennie is a founding member of New York City Wildflower week which celebrates nature and all things native in New York. She is also co-chair of the Hudson River Peers and co-founder of Green Leaders, an educational networking group in NYC.

A native of Minneapolis, Jennie graduation from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Finance and received her MBA from the University of St.Thomas in Minneapolis.

 

 

Roberto Rhett Partner

Roberto graduate from Connecticut College in 2004 with a B.A. in Economics and Latin American Studies. Not that you care, but he has a strong financial services background having worked as a Financial Consultant for A.G. Edwards and as an Internal Auditor at Ernst & Young.

 

 

 

Marissa Feinberg Co-Founder, Partner, Chief Marketing Officer

Marissa has a life-long work history dedicated to the betterment of society and culture. Previously, Marissa worked for Felissimo Universal Corporation of America and did Partnership Development for DESIGN 21, focusing on socially responsible design and building its membership to 350 organizations globally. Marissa also worked for General Electric, publicizing its community initiatives worldwide during her time at the GE Foundation.

Marissa has degrees in public relations, marketing, and Spanish from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Through her commitment to cultural iniatives, Marissa also worked in Partnership Development for Felissimo’s Japan Brand and JapanC, in journalism as Managing Editor of Focus Magazine and The Distinguished Tourist Magazine. She has also worked in publishing for Random House, The Princeton Review and Jon Wiley & Sons. During her free time, Marissa dedicates herself to causes. Emma Grady Director and Freelance Writer

She started her writing career at TreeHugger and Planet Green in June 2008, and continues to cover green fashion daily. She has an interest in sustainable living, fashion, art, and promoting the good works of others. She can often be found covering events for TreeHugger in New York.  

Emma received a B.A. in English, with minors in Studio Art and Art History, from the University of Vermont in 2008. Her past experience includes roles in marketing for websites and green products. In her spare time she frequents Central Park and plans events and volunteers with the UVM Alumni Events Committee in New York. She also writes the 2008 class notes column for the Vermont Quarterly magazine. Emma hopes to expand her volunteer efforts to include environmental non-profits.

Alana Gerson

Alana recently graduated from Miami University (in Ohio) with a Bachelors in Architecture and focus on sustainable design.  She is currently the Social Media Intern at Green Spaces NYC and loves being surrounded by innovative green thinkers from varios industries.  She hopes this will foster her on initiatives later on in life.
